I need to connect a 9 pin null modem cable to my computer.?

I am trying to connect a device to register my computer. The device has a port 9-pin null-modem cable supplied with the. I have a new computer that does not have a port to connect the cable. Do they fall on a null modem to USB adapter? Any ideas will help.

Not sure about a USB adapter, but you need a serial interface, you can by a serial interface PCI provided a relatively low cost and under it in your mobo.
