What is the difference between PC5300 and PC2-5300 for Macbook Pro Ram memory?

I have a 2.16GHz MacBook Pro 15 "(Intel Duo Marrow), which has 1GB of RAM. I intend to 2gig and I came across two types of RAM. I looked online and it said my computer comes with PC2-5300. But when I called Frys, they said they had a PC5300 1GB on offer.
DDR PC 5300 memory. PC2-5300 DDR2 memory. Old World and the most recent. Your laptop takes the PC2-5300. 667 is the haste. I suggest you contact essential for the purchase of your RAM. In this way, there will be no errors.

does it matter if i need PC2-5300 and i can only find PC-5300 RAM?

i am imperfect to upgrade my RAM for my metbook. the one i need is a DDR2 PC2-5300 and i can only find DDR2 PC-5300. would it in reality matter if i put the PC-5300 in my laptop or would it do alot of damage??

Its purposes the same thing. If it's the wrong kind, your laptop will refuse to boot and facilitate a make up for a lot of beeping noises. This is normal. it won't damage your laptop.

2GB DDR2 PC-5300 RAM

I took a look at the 1GB of memory that came back with my netbook and I noticed that in truth PC2-6400 800Mhz RAM. I tried Kingston KVR800D2S6/2G manufacturer, which is 2 GB PC2-6400 800Mhz RAM and my boots AO532h literally with her. I now have 2GB of RAM in my AO532h.
The key is that the memory specifications published for the AO532h are go kaput and Technology Acer hug people are ineffective. Use PC2-6400 800MHz.
