I want to buy a new motherboard for my desktop (Socket 775). My processor is a widespread E4500 C2D (2.2 Ghz). The motherboard should be pretty overclockable and has a good layout. My budget is around Rs 8000 (approx. $ 170). I zeroed in on the Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P.
Which motherboard should i get (socket 775)?

Pentium D 830, or any $50 "Core 2" processor? - Overclock.net ...

Hi, difficult to get a desktop together at the juncture, and have a Pentium D 830 from a escort. Should I upgrade to the next reproduction of LGA 775 ("Middle 2" series)? The only utility I see is a bantam bit more L2 Hole, and aren't as hot. I can drummer the 830 for $50 on eBay, so will upgrading to a $50 Centre 2 processor be irreproachable? Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks!
The steep weight of the Siberia calls for a bracket to be attached to the rear of motherboards boasting Intel's LGA 775, 1155, 1156 and 1366 sockets, as well as those using AMD boards, and we had to eradicate the motherboard to attach this properly.
The cooler weighed in at a motherboard-destroying 730g and came wrapped in a generous nickel coating. It was designed to handle CPUs up to 95TDP, was compatible with Intel LGA1155/1156/775 and AMD FM1/AM3+/AM3/AM2+/AM2 sockets, and sold for about $130
