Tech Test Drive: Alternatives to iPad are worth a look, offer different strengths

In what really happened you're wondering.
Though Apple's famously compact iPhone remains my favorite phone, I like the honkin' screens on measure up to handsets because it makes manipulating on-screen controls easier and watching videos more enjoyable.
Interacting with the 5.3-inch Note one-handed can be complex business because it is so large, but I had no trouble with two-handed use.
When making calls, I found it a bit inept holding the phone up to my ear because of its width, which made my not-very-big hand
get pretty spent after a while. This is easily solved with a wired headset (like the one I use with my iPhone 4) or Bluetooth headset.
The Note lets me get more app icons on my cloak - 30 instead of the usual 20 - which makes me happy since I animosity flipping among multiple screens.
